Art In Downtown Billings
Since being new here in Billings I've noticed that every time I go walk around downtown, I find something new that I don't know much about. My latest find is this electrical box on the corner of 27th and 1st Ave. It is beautifully painted and has a placard that reads 'Outliers'. So, I did what anyone now a days would do... I Googled it!
In 2013, the Downtown Billings Alliance and the Public Art Committee started a program that would wrap the traffic signal boxes in the downtown area. About a year ago (April 2015) the second phase of the program was launched and that is the art that you see today. The traffic signal box above is done by Michael Blessing. Love it!
