I was born in the southern U.S. and raised by a 21 year Marine Corps Vietnam Vet and his hard working, successful, Tennessee born bride. They set the bar pretty high for their three kids...so I decided to just walk under it and go into radio at age 16. After years of "town to town, up and down the dial", I made my way to Billings in 2005. That turned out to be the best decision I ever made. It lead to a great job, and the love of my life, my daughter, Eliana. I'm happy to be raising her in a place with a great mix of conservative family values and progressive ideas about inclusion and embracing the differences in people (provided they are not too liberal or from California).

Crazy Chili Guy Calls Making Threats
This blog is dedicated to the anonymous caller who called Kaitlyn yesterday during her midday show explaining how he was going to destroy us at the chili cook off this month. I know I've perhaps been a little over enthusiastic about the product I'm bringing to the party, but in all fairness, it's damn good chili.
Newsflash: Diabetes Sucks
Diabetes (both types) is pretty common on both sides of my family. My grandmother was type 1 and some of my earliest memories are of my grandfather giving her an insulin shot as well as being told not to steal the small candy bar out of her purse because it was for emergencies. For those who haven't been around it and think it's all about having the inconvenience of insulin in your life, or having to avoid desserts that aren't sugar free, there's a lot more to it than that.
My Pick For Celebrity President
I think we all knew that when a reality star turned president, the door would be open for big celebrities to participate in the country's biggest popularity contest. The latest celebrity to get the Presidential Buzz is Oprah. She's all over my Facebook and people are already voicing their opinions about what kind of POTUS she'd make.
Five Reasons Every Montanan Should Get A Dashcam
Dash mounted cameras ("dash cams") are becoming more common these days for a few reasons that might make you want to pick one up for yourself.
5 Ways To Give In Billings That Don’t Involve Money
If you have that feeling of wanting to help, but your bank account isn't willing to fund your holiday generosity, here are some things you can do in Billings that don't involve money, but are extremely valuable, helpful, and needed.
Moss Mansion Christmas Tree Tour
The Moss Mansion has had their Wednesday night Christmas Tree Tours going on since Thanksgiving and they'll be wrapping up next week. I took some family last night and thought I would share a couple of thoughts on the experience.
Traveling For Montana Pet Owners
When I was looking for a place a few years ago, I had about six places to choose from unless I wanted to just try and sneak him in. I get it. A bad cat can cause a lot of damage to carpets, wood floors, cabinets, etc. Of course this means that many of the places that do allow cats are already in pretty bad shape.
Suddenly I’m Jealous Of The Farmers
Even though I probably won't be able to even sit in any of these, I did manage to get a picture of Jess and Kaitlyn inside the Maxi Grapple.
Kaitlyn’s Monday Morning Breakfast
I brought a jar of pickled eggs in this morning to share with my friends and coworkers. As it turns out, I am apparently the only one on this entire floor who will actually eat one. Are they my favorite thing ever? Nope.
Billings’ Krispy Kreme – Won’t Be Much Longer
Apparently it had been a while since I had been on Central Ave. west of 24th because I was shocked on Wednesday to see how far the new Krispy Kreme had come along. I'm not sure how this location will work for them (like I said, it had been quite a while since I had driven that way); however I know some Krispy Kreme super fans that would drive an hour to get an original glazed right when it comes out of the grease.
