Bomb Threat At The West End Walmart Forces Evacuation

Early Wednesday morning Walmart received a threat of a bomb being placed somewhere inside the building. The store manager began evacuating customers and Billings police arrived on scene shortly after to continue the evacuation and then sweep the building. Nothing suspicious was found and the store was reopened shortly before Noon.

I was actually at Walmart on Wednesday night and had no idea that this had happened just hours before! Sometimes I wonder if kids are just being bored and decide that that would make a funny prank. Little do most people know that it is incredibly expensive to have police and other responders come to a scene and for Walmart to close its doors for a few hours equals a loss in profits. Like I said, I'm really hoping it was just some dumb kids.
