Celebrities have been hiding out in Montana for years.

Michael Keaton and Sam Elliot are frequently spotted out and about around the state, John Mayer loves the Paradise Valley, and there was that one time the Kardashians got into a car wreck near the Bozeman airport. Lots of famous people have memberships in the ultra-exclusive Yellowstone Club. According to Hart Real Estate, these jet setters all enjoy skiing, hiking, and golfing at the enclave in Big Sky,

Notable members include a number of American celebrities & icons such as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Warren Miller, Phil Mickelson, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Dan Quayle, Greg LeMond, Jack Kemp, Tom Brady, Jeff Bridges, and of course, Bill Gates.

We don't get as many celeb sightings in the Billings area, but this one is pretty big. One of the stars of Yellowstone was in the Magic City on Monday night (8/28), and we'll give you one guess on where he spent the evening unwinding.

Cole Hauser got Crystalized.

Longtime Crystal Lounge karaoke host Michael May shared a picture on Facebook (below) of Hauser hanging out at the popular downtown bar. Without his jet-black hair and beard (obviously dyed for the show) and the cowboy hat, we probably wouldn't even recognize the star if we passed him on the sidewalk. Or saw him at the bar on Monday night.

Laid back, down to earth.

We caught up with Michael May this afternoon to get some more details on Rip's visit to downtown Billings. May said Hauser didn't mention why he was in Billings but did say he was heading out Tuesday morning. He didn't sing any songs at the popular karaoke bar, telling May, "I'm pretty good at this whole entertainment thing, but singing isn't one of them."

Cole spent some time playing poker in the card room and mingled, largely incognito, with bar patrons throughout the evening, arriving just after eight p.m. and wrapping things up near closing time. He reportedly stayed at the Northern Hotel across the street.

Is the Crystal Billings most popular spot for famous people?

The Crystal is probably one of the best spots in Billings for running into random celebrities and singers. May recounted Blake Shelton showing up at the Crystal years ago (before The Voice) where he would simply write "Blake" on the karaoke song request tickets. The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band stops by the bar every time they're in town. Country singer Gary Allen has been there at least four times. The lead singer of Papa Roach had to have one of his handlers drag him out of the bar to catch their tour bus. Tons of great stories from the Crystal.
