The 2013 EMAs (Nov. 10) marked a big night -- make that a HUGE night -- for Eminem. The rapper performed both 'Berzerk' and the several-thousand word jam 'Rap God' on the stage, and he was also presented with the Global Icon Award.

For his perf, the rap god emerged from a giant old school boombox prop on the stage, to the delight of the crowd. He then pretty much slayed with a verbal, lyrical assault on the senses.

After he finished his performance, Em chugged what looked like an energy drink and Will Ferrell as Anchorman Ron Burgundy presented him with the award. We were bracing, since Em is often ultra-serious and Ron Burgundy is a lovable buffoon, known for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time!

It looked like Ferrell was playing it straight...at first.

"This is crazy," Em said. "First of all man, just want to say thank you to everything over the years, man! MTV Europe, thank you. I love award."

That was a nod to a classic scene in 'Anchorman,' where Brick Tamland, played by Steve Carell, says he loves "lamp" and other random things in the room. Burgundy tried to correct Em, saying "awards," and Em said, "I love award," again, with a blank stare. Of course he was in on the joke.

Then Burgundy stirred the pot, saying, "Afrojack has been talking s--t about you, anything you wanna say?'"

Em said, "Who?" -- twice -- then shook his hand.

We love that Em showed his sense of humor. Remember when he got mad at Triumph the Insult Comic Dog?

Eminem also won the award for Best Hip-Hop, presented by Rita Ora.

"Amsterdam, what up!," he said. "Yo, first, I just want to say thank you to Universal, to Interscope and to all the European labels. Thank you to Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin to everyone who helped this project. And to the fans, I love you."
