More than a decade after her debut album's release, Fergie is finally set to drop sophomore work Double Dutchess on September 22. And today (September 1), she released a sneak peek — a trippy video that will take fans through the worlds of Fergie: past and present.

The visual, featured above, doesn't hold back on the intensity. While we're feeling nostalgic seeing clips from "Glamorous" and "M.I.L.F.$," the video takes some dark turns with a composite of self-effacing tweets mixed with scenes in which it seems like she's lost her mind (we're getting some serious American Horror Story vibes). Still, there's light at the end of the tunnel, when we see that Fergie's found some solace at a church and is moving in a new direction.

Still, the ceasefire is short-lived — in an instant, the military arrive and bomb the building's entrance.

We're not too sure what Fergie really means by all of this, but it's clear she's got some tricks up her sleeve. Watch the clip above to see what we mean.
