I'll freely admit I'm a bit of a tech nerd. Not in a "I know coding and LINUX" kind of way, but more like a "holy cow, that's cool" way. So I've been following some of the press coverage of the hottest and latest and greatest coming from this years Consumer Electronics Show (CES) going on this week in Las Vegas. Some of the coolest items I've seen so far include:

  • LG's home brewing machine. Great for a beer lover who is too lazy to do it the old fashioned way, this machine lets you pour in the beer ingredients and it does the rest. The device looks like an overgrown coffee machine.
  • Samsung has a new modular TV.  Attach as many of the square panels together to create whatever size/shape of display you'd like on your wall.  Another hot item in the TV department is a flat screen that ROLLS UP and DOWN.  Pretty sweet.
  • A company called Bell Nexus is showing of a flying car. YES!! The future is finally almost here. I've been dreaming of flying cars since I was 6.
  • A treadmill that generates electricity for your home while you burn off that giant burrito you had for lunch.

Of course the CES is showing of tons of "smart" home devices. Smart blenders, smart dishwashers, voice activated sinks and those super cool looking robots in the picture above.

Next time,

Michael
