UPDATE (2/5): The extended trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 premiered during the Super Bowl. Watch above!

Amid the glut of superhero movies that have hit theaters in the last few years, 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy was one of the brightest and most unexpected gems (Infinity Stones?) in the bunch. The hit raked in $33 million at the box office and made a bonafide action star out of Chris Pratt — and today (October 19) we've gotten our first good look at the team in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

In a black-and-white poster that looks more like a band photo than a ragtag bunch of interplanetary fighters, Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon and a teeny tiny baby Groot (do you see him?) cold chill against a wall. They're joined by Yondu, the Ravager who's a sort-of father figure to Pratt's Star-Lord, and Nebula (Karen Gillan), who was the Guardians' nemesis when we last left them two years ago. Will Nebula reconcile with her adopted sister Gamora and join the team? We'll find out when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens  in 2017.

While that feels like a small eternity from now, fear not: Marvel shared a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 sneak peek too. Appropriately, it's soundtracked by Awesome Mix Vol. 1 opener "Hooked on a Feeling" by Blue Swede. In the teaser, Drax gives Star-Lord advice on his evidently still shaky relationship with Gamora: "You just need to find a woman who is pathetic. Like you." Awww.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 premieres on May 5, 2016, and James Gunn returns to direct another script he co-wrote based on the comic. Now we're just waiting to hear the second mixtape.
