I live in one of these new downtown Billings condo that was reclaimed from an old meat packing building right next to the railroad tracks. Instead of a full sized refrigerator they put in a mini-fridge. It's one where they put the mini freezer inside of the main fridge door. So the freezer has a flimsy plastic door you lift up to get to your frozen foods. Mine had become nearly a block of ice with some food inside so I attempted to defrost it. My attempt was ill-fated.

This particular mini-fridge has one temperature control for both the freezer and the refrigerator. So I turned it down all the way to get the ice melting. Unfortunately I was impatient as the ice wasn't melting fast enough and the food in the regular compartment was getting warm. So I took matters into my own hands and began picking at the ice with a steak knife. I thought the freezer compartment was simply sheet metal. WRONG! It had Freon tubing going through it and I accidentally punctured the tubing. Imagine my surprise when a bunch of gas came streaming out. The next day I was at a big box store purchasing a new mini-fridge. EPIC FAIL!
