Thanks Jay-Z, for ruining your own surprise!

HOV is reportedly planning a "surprise" performance on July 9 on top of the Ed Sullivan Theater, where the 'Late Show With David Letterman' is filmed. And guess who is the guest on Letterman's show that night? Surprise, surprise -- none other than Jigga Man himself.

In addition to this performance, Jay-Z will collaborate with a familiar face on his upcoming 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' album. The lyrics for the track 'Oceans' were revealed, and the song will feature Frank Ocean -- how fitting! Ocean has previously made an appearance on Hov's tracks 'Made in America' and 'No Church in the Wild' off the effort 'Watch the Throne.'

We're interested to hear how 'Oceans' plays out, as it features amazing lyrical word play like, "I'm anti Santa Maria /  The only Christopher we acknowledge / Is Wallace." As usual, Jay-Z is showing off his lyrical chops with this new project.

Jay-Z also released another teaser for his album where he waxes poetic about the power of the Internet, technology and how music fits into that equation. Preach, brother!

For those of you who live under rocks, Jay's 12th studio album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' is out on July 4.
