Lindsay Lohan Claims Miscarriage Caused Her to Ignore Lawsuit

Lindsay Lohan revealed on the deeply personal season finale of her reality TV show that she suffered a miscarriage after her stint in rehab. Though many viewers theorized that Lindsay was making up the story for ratings, the celeb has now sworn its legitimacy in court.

LiLo has been tangled up in a lawsuit over her clothing company 6126 for the last year, but there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. The clothing line’s manufacturers felt the ultimate failure in sales was due to Lindsay’s poor public image and reputation, and consequently went after the star for $5 million in damages.

Last summer the lawsuit was put on hold while the actress-turned-singer attempted to regain her mental and physical health in rehab. Once she was out and sober, the case resumed — for everyone but Lindsay. She didn’t respond to the legal notices and, therefore, automatically lost the case.

Now the reality star is fighting back, claiming she wasn’t in the right mindset to battle the case while fresh out of rehab and dealing with a miscarriage.

Per TMZ, Lindsay stated in her court documents, “I have been overwhelmed since leaving rehab and dealing with my sobriety and a miscarriage.”

Lindsay has sworn under penalty of perjury that her statement is true. In layman’s terms, she could find herself in jail once again if the story of her miscarriage proves to be untrue.

That’s pretty serious! As sad as the story is, we hope Lindsay is telling the truth!
