Luck Of The Irish!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I personally love this holiday very much because I am Irish! Plus it is a pretty awesome day because it is a holiday that brings out the crazy party side of people. From green beers to Irish Car Bombs you know that you are in for a good time! Or at least awesome people watching after they have had one too many!

My mother's side of the family is very Irish and they always joke about how today is a day that everyone can celebrate being a little Irish. I can remember the first time I saw my Grandfather do the Irish Jig. He was 75 years old and still had all the moves down like he was a little lad! Watching him hit the moves like he was on a dance competition show was something that I will always remember. After he was done busting his moves he told me all about Ireland and our family roots. I learned many things that day... including that the spelling of my name is actually the Celtic spelling of my mothers name!

Pretty neat if you ask me or my mom for that matter! I also learned that cats out number dogs in Ireland two to one, that most Irish men only grow to be 5'7, and Irish women on average are 5'5! Who knew?!  In the spirit of St.Patrick's Day Erin Go Bragh!
