Well being an avid fisher and outdoor enthusiast I know this has it’s pros and cons. Every time I turn around there is a rate increase somewhere but being a premier place for this kind of stuff people don’t mind spending money on it.

The Montana Legislators passed a bill raising fishing and hunting license fees, and Gov. Steve Bullock has now signed it.

Next year is when the increase will take place. A resident conservation license is $8 and another $18 for the fishing license, for a total of $26. Next year, that will go up $3 to a total of $29. For non residents they pay $70 and will pay $86 next year.

For hunting, a base license of $8 will now be required in addition to the $8 conservation license.
