33 years after he first made his 'Saturday Night Live' debut in 1981, Prince returned to the live comedy variety show on Nov. 1 to perform an eight-minute medley comprising of three new songs: 'Clouds,' 'Marz' and 'Anotherlove.' 'Clouds' is featured on the album 'Art Official Age' while 'Marz' and 'Anotherlove' can be found on 'Plectrumelectrum.' Both albums were released simultaneously on Sept. 30.

Most artists on 'SNL' will play two songs at various points during the show. Prince, however, diverted from tradition and opted to perform all three at once for one satisfying eight minute stretch.

"Ladies and gentlemen, you are so lucky tonight," boasted host Chris Rock as he introduced the 56-year-old legend.

The 'Purple Rain' singer was joined on stage by rising vocalist Lianne La Havas for the track 'Clouds,' and both were accompanied by Prince's all female rock trio, 3rdeyegirl.

For the opening track, Prince performed the soulful song 'Clouds' behind a keyboard before grabbing a guitar into the heavier 'Marz.' With electric purple lightning lighting up the stage at 30 Rock, the seven-time Grammy award winning artist showed that he still has what it takes to command a performance before slowing things down for 'Anotherlove.'
