Enjoy Holiday Fun This Weekend In Laurel And Red Lodge

Christmas strolling, holiday parades, and fun on tap for Red Lodge and Laurel.

December is here and it's game-on for fun times in Montana. Two communities in south-central Montana are celebrating the season this weekend: Red Lodge and Laurel. Both events offer a variety of Christmas-themed events. Let's start with Red Lodge.

The Red Lodge Stroll

Red Lodge reminds us of a Hallmark movie set in the winter months, especially during its Christmas Stroll weekend. The festivities are Friday and Saturday nights (12/1 & 12/2) with a Blade Parade both evenings at 6 pm. Visitors can enjoy wagon rides and various entertainment including live music, performances, and Santa. Laurel Christmas Parade and Gingerbread Christmas

Laurel loves fireworks and parades. On Sunday (12/3) you'll get both, topped with a generous helping of holiday cheer. Highlights include S'mores roasting stations set up on the sidewalk along Main Street, The Grinch and Cindy Lou Who appearances at shops downtown, and pictures with Santa after the parade. Holiday Nights is back for its second year at ZooMontana. When I heard about it last year, I wasn't sure what to expect. We were blown away. If you love lights, you have to check it out. This year, they've dropped the ticket price and have added more entertainment, more lights, more of everything. It runs Thursday - Sunday through December 24 and is open nightly from 12/26 - 1/1.
