If you are not a biker or into bikes and think motorcycles are loud and scary and dangerous... then you really should check out the annual Roaddogs Toy Run, coming up this Sunday, 12/2. It may just change your perception of big, bad, motorcycle dudes and dudettes.

Each year, these guys - with tons of support from our community - raise an incredible amount of toys for local kids.  Seriously. It's a truck load of toys. The bikers (led by Santa) will leave the Northside Fire Station down by North Park at high noon on Sunday. They'll cruise down Broadwater and then take 24th St. West to Rimrock Mall, where the toys are delivered into a massive, ceiling high pile.  It truly is heartwarming.  And these guys will ride, rain or snow.

It's not too late to donate if you'd like to chip in a toy or two.  You can make a donation right now at Custom Auto Sales (look for the guy who looks suspiciously like Mr Claus) at 1001 1st Ave North.  Or drop toys off at the Northside Fire Station.  And make sure to pull up a spot somewhere along the route to watch the Toy Run... it's a pretty cool sight to see hundreds of bikes loaded with toys, coming together for a great cause.

Next time,

Michael
