Telltale Games, developers of critically lauded titles like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, may have set its eyes on ruling the seven kingdoms according to a new report.

George RR Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' novels, more popularly known from the HBO adaptation 'Game of Thrones,' are fantastically popular. Fans of both the books and the series can't seem to get enough of the political landscape of Westeros, and they might be getting one more way to satisfy their addictions.

Sources speaking to IGN have revealed Telltale may be hard at work on bringing the conflict of the seven kingdoms to life in video game form. Though there have been several other games based in the same universe, none of them have been put together by a developer with the pedigree like that of Telltale.

For its part, Telltale avoided the question when asked by IGN if there was any truth behind the rumor. “We get these sorts of rumors about what we could be working on next cropping up all the time. Officially we have no comment,” senior vice president of publishing Steve Allison responded. That said, Telltale did hype up a big development deal earlier this fall when representatives said several "dream IPs" were in the works.

With The Wolf Among Us continuing and Walking Dead Season 2 on the horizon, Telltale's certainly got a busy plate for the next few months. The next season of 'Game of Thrones' is set to kick off next spring, so perhaps there'll be some more details about the potential game in early 2014.
