It's been all quiet on 'The Legend of Conan' front for a while now, and with the weak performance of 'The Last Stand' on top of the 2011 reboot (with Jason Momoa) we weren't sure if the third "official" Conan movie would move forward. But have no fear, a new writer has been hired to pen the tale of Arnold Schwarzenegger's King Conan.

Andrea Berloff is now working on the script of 'The Legend of Conan,' according to Deadline. Berloff previously penned 2006's 'World Trade Center' and more recently worked on a remake of the French film 'Sleepless Night' and the N.W.A. bio-pic 'Straight Outta Compton.' With that kind of diversity it's hard to get a read on her. Originally 'Fast and Furious 6' screenwriter Chris Morgan was the main engine behind this reboot, but it appears he'll mostly be taking a producing role (perhaps he's too busy with 'Fast and Furious 7'... and possibly 'Fast and Furious 8').

Schwarzenegger is still attached to star, but he's got a full plate ahead regardless. He'll be in the upcoming films 'Escape Plan,' 'The Expendables 3,' 'Maggie' and 'Terminator 5,' while there's a rumor he might join 'Avatar 2.' With that workload we wouldn't expect 'Conan' until 2015 at the earliest, when Schwarzenegger will be 68 years old.
