The Maize At Grandpa’s Farm In Billings Is Open!

I had the most amazing morning!  Who wouldn't like to wake up and go for a helicopter ride, right?  Considering I'm terrified of heights, normally the answer to that would be "Me"! But I didn't chicken out and had a ton of fun!  And though the pilot looks young enough to be in grade school, he was actually close to my age and a great pilot!

Every year, courtesy of "The Maize at Grandpa's Farm", we are given a "Media Day",  which includes checking out the newest design of the maize as well as a helicopter ride to see it from the birds eye view.  Phew!  It's amazing(a-maize-ing) but terrifying at the same time.  It's actually pretty awesome to see how they put the design in the corn field and all of their attractions from above, as you can see.

This year they have a paint ball feature which gives you 100 rounds to shoot, while riding on a moving ride and moving targets as well.  I wonder if they'd let me pick my own targets? Hmmm. Definitely something to ponder!

Well starting August 30th, they're open!  They have pig races, "Hay Mountain", rides for the kiddos, etc.. Will you go and be "A-Maize-D"?  What's your favorite part of the Maize?
