‘Time Magazine’ Names Donald Trump as Person of The Year for 2016
President-elect Donald Trump has been named Time Magazine's Person of the Year for 2016. The announcement was made this morning (Dec. 7), along with the unveiling of the cover featuring Trump with the headline "President of the Divided States of America."
"Her creative opus turned the pop star into a political force," the publication notes of the "Formation" singer.
Previous recipients of TIME's Person of the Year distinction include Angela Merkel in 2015 and the Ebola fighters in 2014.
Ironically, Trump tweeted about the Person of the Year only one year ago, writing "I told you @TIME Magazine would never pick me as person of the year despite being the big favorite They picked person who is ruining Germany."
