Airline travel is down like 3,000 percent or some outrageous figure and it doesn't sound like most of us will be traveling anywhere fun on an airplane anytime time soon, as most destinations around the world continue to be restricted in some shape or form because of the coronavirus.

A fun way to see the world (virtually) and kill some time is by watching streaming webcams. One problem I've encountered is that a lot of times you'll click on a cam link, only to find that it's broken or offline. I just found this cool website today called Skyline Webcams. It's awesome. They have links to cameras in over 50 countries around the world and every one that I clicked on today worked perfectly. In fact, I just killed a good hour or so of company time checking out beaches, like this one in Fort Meyers, FL.

Then I bounced to a view of 42nd Street in New York City.

Next I popped over to Rome to see what's going on at the Piazza di Spagna, where It appears a couple of polizi were chatting in the quiet plaza.

Closer to the equator more your speed? Ah yes, mine too. Let's see how it looks in Puntarenas, Costa Rica today. A little overcast, but I'd take a spot on that beach right about now. For sure.

Most of the cams do not have sound (I wish they did, that would totally enhance the at-the-beach feeling). Anyway, if you need a break from Facebook experts, unsound medical advice, fake news and the coronavirus... head over to Skyline Webcams and take a little virtual trip in your imagination. Go full screen. I'll be hanging out here at the town square in Madrid.
