A campaign rally in Billings for Democratic congressional candidate Rob Quist, featuring Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, will be moved to MetraPark’s Expo Center on today, due crowd expectations.  The event for the Democratic political newcomer running for Montana’s one and only congressional seat was originally scheduled for the Billings Depot.

However, campaign staff decided that a larger venue than the 300-person Depot was necessary, and booked the front portion of the Expo Center, which can hold between 800 and 1,000 people, according to Ray Massie, MetraPark marketing director.
A Quist campaign event featuring Senator Sanders in Missoula changed venues on Wednesday. The rally originally planned for The Wilma Theater was moved to the University of Montana’s Adams Center which can hold up to 7,500 people.

The Billings rally is scheduled to take place from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.
