This is absolutely huge news for not only the Big Sky Conference but for all the schools that will be involved.

406 MT Sports is reporting that the Big Sky Conference has made a big media deal with the sports giant ESPN to broadcast all of their sports starting this year. That means you will be able to watch Montana State Athletics on ESPN from football to basketball to track & field and more! Check out the announcement on the Big Sky Conference Twitter.

Now sadly, we won't be seeing Montana State games on ESPN or ESPN2 but they will be showing ESPN+. ESPN+ is ESPN's subscription streaming service and that is a huge step up in my opinion from PlutoTV. The service is easy to use and navigate to find games and schools. ESPNU, their college sports channel, will be showing at least two Big Sky Conference games a year(my money is on Cat/Griz easily as being one of them) and they will also show a few basketball games too.

The good news is that ROOT Sports will still have their partnership with the Big Sky Conference to show several football games throughout the year as well.

Overall, this is huge not only for the Big Sky Conference but for Montana State. Getting a media giant like ESPN to have a place to host their games is a huge upgrade and will help expose the school to new fans and possibly new recruits. Plus, this is exciting that other Big Sky Conference sports will get exposure from volleyball to softball and more.

I just can't wait to see the Brawl of the Wild between the Montana State Bobcats vs. the University of Montana Griz on national television so everyone can see how our fans support our schools.
