Research from WalletHub ranks Billings as the 39th Hardest Working City in the United States based on employment rate, average weekly work hours, unused vacation time and other factors that DID NOT include weather conditions.

Of the 116 U.S. cities compared, these were the top 3 'Hardest Working Cities':
1. Anchorage, AK
2. San Francisco, CA
3. Irving, TX

Detroit was ranked last in the study. Other cities in our region that made the list include Denver #6, Cheyenne #9, Seattle #26, Fargo #34 and Salt Lake City #41.

According to the study, American workers put in an average of 1,780 hours a year.  A full 266 hours more than the U.K. and 424 more than Germany.
