It was a game that almost didn't happen!

This past Saturday the Billings Xtreme football team was set to take on the Idaho Mustangs at Daylis Stadium here in Billings.

Kickoff was scheduled for 5pm, but when the clock hit that time, there was no sign of the Mustangs. Off officials were preparing to call the game when their bus finally pulled up.

Turned out our opponents had a faulty air line on the bus that wasn't allowing the brakes to release.

Kickoff finally happened about 6:15, nearly and hour and fifteen minutes later than what was scheduled to happen. Surprising to some of us, the crowd waited for the game to begin.

Both teams fought a pretty good game and unfortunately two players, one from each team ended up getting mildly hurt and had to leave the field.

When it was all said and done the Billings Xtreme overtook the Idaho Mustangs with a final score of 24-14.

The boys hit the road for the next couple of weeks and return to play the Flathead Monsters at Daylis Stadium on May 21st.

We hope to see you there cheering on the home team!
