At the beginning of the quarantine, I rushed to the closest toy store and stocked up on all of my favorites to avoid total and utter boredom. I’m excited to see that some of my favorite games have made the cut as a finalist to be inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame Class of 2020.

Twelve toys in total have made the cut but only three will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on November 5, where they will join the likes of the iconic Barbie doll and timeless board game Candy Land.

Among the list of finalists is Bingo, which I am surprised has not made it into the Hall of Fame yet. I see Bingo being a top contender this year. Bingo will be going up against Breyer Horses, Baby Nancy, and Master of the Universe toys. Those three were never in my toy chest, but they have certainly earned their spot as finalists.

Jenga, Lite Brite, My Little Pony, and Risk all made the cut, as well as sidewalk chalk, Sorry!, Yahtzee, and Tamagotchi.

All of these toys send me down memory lane to a time when board games and dolls were my favorite past time. Out of all these games, Sorry! was certainly the most cut-throat among my family, and I think it definitely deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame.

Accompanying my choices of Bingo and Sorry!, I think sidewalk chalk will be the third winner this year. It made a huge comeback in 2020 due to children being stuck at home. Sidewalk chalk became the outside outlet for many families.

There are so many iconic toys that have made it into the Hall of Fame, and here are some of my favorites.
