Volunteers Take Action to Clean, Restore and Renew Yellowstone County
During Nation’s Largest Community Improvement Program

April 24, 2017 –Bright n’ Beautiful, which envisions a Yellowstone County that is clean, green and more beautiful to live in, announced today the launch of the 2017 Great American Cleanup. Entering its 19th year, Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest community improvement program that kicks off each March with events occurring from spring through fall in more than 20,000 communities across the country.

Each year, the Great American Cleanup engages more than 5 million volunteers and participants who take action in their local communities to create positive change and lasting impact. Bright n’ Beautiful, along with other organizations in Keep America Beautiful’s national network of community-based affiliates, plan volunteer events and education programs that help remove litter and debris.

“This is a great opportunity for families, community groups, and individuals to get outside together and make a visible difference in our communities.  We’ve had successful events in the past, and are really looking forward to this year’s events,” said Audra Waite, Director of Bright n’ Beautiful.

“It’s inspiring to see the millions of volunteers that turn out each year to participate in Great American Cleanup events that are conducted by our affiliates and partnering organizations,” said Keep America Beautiful’s Senior Vice President/Marketing & Communications Mike Rosen. “We look forward to even greater volunteer engagement and additional community projects that will help Yellowstone County transform its public spaces into beautiful places.”
