Things just got a little sweeter in Downtown Billings.

Proof Donuts opened its second location on Tuesday morning (9/12) and if we can be completely honest, we're pretty excited to have another option for sweet morning treats in Downtown Billings. We first caught up with the local foodies/entrepreneurs behind the company when they were preparing to open in February 2022 at their location on 24th Street West.

Eat local donuts.

The guys behind the donuts spent over three years perfecting their donut dough and they set themselves apart with their creative toppings. The new location downtown is at 2715 1st Ave North. Literally steps away from the Crystal Lounge, Jake's Downtown, Walker's, and the Northern Hotel. Look for bigger signage on the cute little shop soon.

Is a Heights location in the works?

We stopped by today to welcome them to the neighborhood downtown (our offices and studios are 1/2 block away) and caught up with one of Proof Donuts' partners, Jason Hastings. The shop offers its ever-changing rotation of handcrafted specialty donuts, coffee, and a selection of light breakfast items like burritos and breakfast sandwiches. Hastings is excited to offer their product at two locations now and is laying the groundwork for possible expansion to the Heights. The company is considering expanding across the state.

It's good for downtown Billings.

Most of my co-workers frequently walk to nearby coffee shops and restaurants as part of our daily routines. I'm a big fan of local businesses and a vibrant downtown Billings. It's great that downtowners now have another option for awesome donuts. The West End location remains open and the new downtown location is open Tuesday - Sunday from 7 AM to noon.
