Kourtney Kardashian is leaving Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

The reality star sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight with Kim and Khloe Kardashian on Thursday (November 7) to discuss her future on the show and confirm she's officially going to take a step back from filming after 17 seasons so she could spend more time with her children.

“I just decided to spend more time as a mom and put more of my energy there,” she explained. “But I’m not saying goodbye. I think you’ll have to see more of it on the new season, season 18. It isn’t airing yet but it's being filmed.”

Meanwhile, her sisters fully support her decision. "We definitely love Kourtney and we will miss Kourtney and whatever she decides to do, but people come, people go all the time in this family," Khloe added. "We feel like it’s a revolving door, so Kourtney might leave this week, she’ll be back. They all come back."

Fans of the oldest Kardashian sister will be sad to see her go since the 40-year-old has been one of the main characters on KUWTK for years. This also isn't the first time Kourtney, who shares three children — Mason, Penelope and Reign — with ex Scott Disick, has discussed possibly leaving the E! show.

“So, every day is different,” she explained on The Real in September. “But at the current moment, I’m happy and very into my blessings and feeling very good. But I definitely have my moments where [I want to]. Because I mean, life is short, and you want to be happy.”

Now that it's official, we wonder how the family will handle one less Kardashian sister on the show. However, something tells us this won't be the last we see of Kourtney. Over the years, her younger sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, have also made fewer appearances, but as Khloe said, they always come back.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians is currently airing it's 17th season on E! on Sunday nights at 9 PM EST.
