Maddie Ziegler won the hearts of Sia fans as her muse and alter ego in multiple music videos and many performances, but true Maddie fans have watched her on Dance Moms since it debuted in 2011. She quickly became one of viewers' favorite members of the Abby Lee Dance Company — but Maddie will say goodbye to the Lifetime reality series after Season 6.

The 13-year-old has been dancing with ALDC since she was four and is moving on to pursue her acting career, US Weekly reports. She's had a few small scripted TV roles since 2012, including an eerie dance performance on a Pretty Little Liars episode earlier this year. And her 2016 is already shaping up nicely, as she'll have her first film role in The Book of Henry starring Naomi Watts and Room's Jacob Tremblay. Season 6 will hardly be the last fans see of Maddie.

Meanwhile, Lifetime has yet to announce a Dance Moms Season 7. The likelihood of another season in Maddie's absence is further complicated by Abby Lee Miller's bankruptcy fraud indictment. The studio owner's federal charges include 20 separate counts, and Miller is accused of withholding $750,000 from creditors in 2010, when she filed for bankruptcy.

Dance Moms Season 6 premieres January 5 on Lifetime at 9 p.m. ET.
