Skin cancer is one of the easiest cancers to treat if caught early but unfortunately if it goes undetected it then becomes one of the most dangerous and deadly forms of cancer.

My Grandpa actually had skin cancer. He had a little bit on the top of his ear. That is usually the place that most people forget to put sunscreen and for a man who usually wore a trucker hat, I can assume that was how it happened to him. The skin on the ear is really thin so it is easy to continually burn and get damaged.

And to be blunt... no one is safe from it. Sunscreen needs to be put on every time you're outside and women, we should be wearing a moisturizer that has an SPF in it so our faces have protection 24/7. But even then... we forget-- toes, feet, ears, fingers.

Here are a couple videos about skin cancer, what causes it, how to prevent it, etc.

Worried about this? Have questions about a spot on your body, don't hold off. Make an appointment with a doctor or dermatologist.
