Miley Cyrus joined forces with her godmother, the inimitable Dolly Parton, to perform the icon's 1973 hit "Jolene" on The Voice last night (November 29) along with a cappella group Pentatonix.

This marks the second time the country legend has teamed up with Pentatonix -- she recorded a version of "Jolene" with the group earlier this year, and the quintet went on to honor Parton at the CMA Awards as part of a medley of artists who performed several of the "9 to 5" singer's massive hits.

Cyrus -- who performed double duty on The Voice last night, as both performer and judge -- has also performed "Jolene" in the past, both with Parton and as a solo artist as part of her short-lived 2012 Backyard Sessions series.

Parton made an appearance on the singing competition show to promote her forthcoming movie Christmas of Many Colors -- a sequel to 2015's Coat of Many Colors -- which airs tonight (November 30) on NBC. Parton performed “Circle of Love” from the movie onstage with Jennifer Nettles before her show stopping a cappella "Jolene” performance.

Watch Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton and Pentatonix perform "Jolene" a cappella on The Voice in the video above.
