Miley Cyrus Hits the Campaign Trail, Goes Dorm to Dorm to Encourage Student Voters
Miley Cyrus is with Her—and she's letting America know!
The pop star and Voice judge hit the campaign trail on Saturday, October 22, taking a jet to Fairfax, Virginia where she went dorm to dorm at George Mason University in order to encourage students to get out and vote on election day (November 8) as well as promote Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Miley previewed her surprise appearance on Friday night (October 21), sharing a photo of herself posing in front of a jet and writing, "OMW 2 VA 4 HC!!!! @HillaryClinton #imwithher" on Twitter.
The next day, Miley hit the dorms in a patriot outfit of red, white and blue proportions, knocking on students' rooms to talk to them individually about the importance of voting and making a difference as millennials at the polls in 2016.
While on campus, the Bangerz singer took selfies and videos with fans. Afterwards, the former Bernie Sanders supporter recapped her experience on Twitter, writing, "Campaigned for @HillaryClinton today in GMU in VA encouraging young people to volunteer and vote!!!!" she tweeted.
