A study conducted by Smart Asset determined which American cities are the best for the average beer drinker. Is it a shock that multiple Montana towns came in the top 10.

The number crunchers based their decisions on such things as the total number of microbreweries and brewpubs, the number of bars, and the average price for a pint – among other things. As of September 2015, there are 60 breweries in operation in the state of Montana.

They found that Portland, Maine, is a beer drinker’s paradise, topping the list of the 296 largest cities in America. Congratulations, Portland!

Here’s a rundown of the Top 10:

  1. Portland, Maine
  2. Asheville, North Carolina
  3. Portland, Oregon
  4. Billings, Montana
  5. Denver, Colorado
  6. Seattle, Washington
  7. Wilmington, North Carolina
  8. Missoula, Montana
  9. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
  10. Cincinnati, Ohio

Well we all know Montana can boast some pretty great beers but this proves it once again.

Cheers!

Remember if you are going to be drinking please drink responsibly and do not drink and drive.
