Movie Shot in Montana Featuring Machine Gun Kelly Has Big Update

Maybe this will help bring in more movie productions to not only Livingston but in Montana.

If you don't remember in October of 2020, Machine Gun Kelly posted pics on his Instagram talking about filming a movie in Montana and he was actually shooting the movie just down the road at the Yellowstone Film Ranch outside of Livingston. The film was called, "The Last Son of Issac LeMay" but now has been shortened to "The Last Son". Here's a video from Machine Gun Kelly's Instagram while on set.

The film is set in the late 19th century in the Sierra Nevada and has a pretty impressive cast including Sam Worthington(Avatar), Thomas Jane(The Punisher), Heather Graham(The Hangover), and more.

The film is in post-production now and has great news. According to Deadline, Redbox Entertainment has announced they have acquired the North American rights to The Last Son. That means they will be in charge of distribution and marketing. RedBox Entertainment, yes the kiosks where you can rent movies at grocery stores and gas stations, has been slowly trying to get into the movie production game.

Redbox Entertainment has acquired rights to films such as Shadow in the Cloud and the Tom Hardy flick Capone. They haven't released a release date yet for The Last Son but they might try to do a theater release and an on-demand release at the same time. Either way, we are excited to watch this movie when it comes out.
