When you watch Nicole Kidman on the big or small screen, she somehow has the ability make you gasp in shock or tear up when she brings on the heavy feels. But even though she's mastered the art of drama, the award-winning actress has her eyes set on projects that might surprise you.

"I would love to be able to do a comedy," she said at a panel during the Television Critics Association press tour yesterday (July 29). "I never get offered them. I'm always get offered dramas."

Recently turning 50 last month, Nicole explained that she is "up for anything."

"I'm just at that place where I'm like, 'I'm gonna try it,'" she said. "I'm willing to fall flat on my face. I know how to get back up again."

While we wait what comedic role she'll take on in the future, Nicole is up for an Emmy Award for her role in HBO's Big Little Lies and has starred in the recently released film, The Beguiled and Top of the Lake: China Girl, which will air on Sundance on September 10.
