Personally, I'm very excited for this center to be going into downtown! Working in downtown Billings is a joy of mine and I love being able to be in the middle of all that is good like walking downtown on a nice day to grab ice cream or walking to get my Jimmy Johns instead of ordering! Having this addition downtown will be awesome for not only those who are already downtown but for residents of Billings that just come in to shop or eat. This brings new living spaces, retail spaces, restaurants spaces, office spaces and a place for tourists!

KCTR Newsroom - One Big Sky Center developer Skip Ahern told the Billings City Council yesterday that tenants are being lined up and the exact size of the project is still to be determined. The MontDevCo partner told City Councilors he’s optimistic that the $165 million One Big Sky Center will be built, but added “This is not a slam dunk,”

Developers have a June 30 deadline to sign an agreement with the city, which will include how much in tax increment financing the city will commit to the project.
Ahern said office space could be 85,000 square feet or more, saying one anchor tenant will sign a lease in the next few weeks. A hotel/convention center management company has also been signed.  And a 120-unit senior living facility is now planned. A separate apartment building with 160 units will also be constructed.
