I know first hand that rescue dogs make the best dogs. I got my dog Scout at Help For Homeless Pets about 12 years ago and it was one the best decisions I have ever made. If you have ever thought about rescuing a dog and giving them a wonderful home now is the time to do it. Dog Is My CoPilot is a wonderful organization that rescues dogs from  kill shelters from states like Texas and California and brings them to Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and right here in Montana. To date they have rescues just about 8,000 dogs. Not only dogs but they have also been rescuing cats too for the past five years.

Friday a flight landed here in Billings with 80 little fur babies on board who will be up for adoption around the state. Right around 50 of those little nuggets will be going to Help For Homeless Pets the rest will be going to the Thompson River Animal Shelter. Dog Is My CoPilot runs off of donations. It cost them about $800 in fuel alone to get the pups here. If you would like to make a donation or learn more about them go to dogcopilot.org . For more information or to contact Help For Homeless Pets their web site has all of their info helpforhomelesspets.org/ . Let's help all of these babies find wonderful forever homes with lots of love and treats! I can not even imagine how happy all of those little guys have to be to find a home. Makes me want another dog super bad!
