My kindergartner came down with a fever last night. Normally this would mean no school and normally she doesn't mind staying home for sick days. Who doesn't, right? But this time she was really bummed out because today is "Space Day" at her school. Thankfully, she checked out just fine this morning and was thrilled that she gets to go to class.

Here's the cool part... I guess they get to do a live video chat with the International Space Station. Sweet! I was kind of a science nerd when I was a kid and I'm excited that she keeps expressing an interest in science stuff too.  In the age of dumb youtube vidoes, non-stop handheld devices, Tide Pod Challenges and other stupid stuff, it's awesome to see that space is still cool for kids.

Side note - when are we going back to the moon? It's been almost 50 years.
