The endlessly talented St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) is no longer content with her status as music's reigning force over guitar-driven, experimental rock. She now has her sights set on Hollywood.

Clark will make her directorial debut with an upcoming horror anthology film called XX, according to a report from Vulture. Not only will the movie’s leads all be played by women, but each segment of the film will be directed by women as well. Vulture also reports that the individual directors will have total creative control over their own pieces, the sole caveats being that the story must be based around a female character and fit in the horror genre.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to explore the genre-film medium,” Clark said in a statement. There's no word yet as to what her particular story or plot line will entail, but Roxanne Benjamin, who worked on Southbound and V/H/S, produced and co-wrote it with Clark.

Clark joins fellow directors Karyn Kusama, Jennifer Lynch and Jovanka Vuckovic. The A.V. Club reports that Clark filled in for Mary Harron, who likely had to drop out of the project to complete her upcoming movie about the Manson family murders.

Clark also recently designed her own signature guitar in conjunction with Ernie Ball Music Man, that was specifically made with women in mind.

I wanted to design a tool that would be ergonomic, lightweight, and sleek," she wrote in an Instagram post about the collaboration. "So excited to be working with Ernie Ball. *There is room for a breast...or two."
