WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN BILLINGS?!?!?!

I've constantly heard that Billings is a safe place to live and raise children but between the two recent news stories below, an insane increase in car thefts/break ins and even stuff being stolen in my own neighborhood I am starting to think it's becoming increasingly unsafe!

KBUL Newsroom - A 27-year-old man was stabbed at the Lewis and Clark Motel in downtown Billings Wednesday afternoon, and police are looking for two suspects. The man, described by police as uncooperative, suffered non-life-threatening injuries to both arms and his stomach. Police described the two suspects as Native American men in their 20s, driving a dark-colored Chevrolet pickup truck. The stabbing was reported at 12:30 p.m. at the motel at 1709 First Ave. N.

KBUL Newsroom - Billings Police said that a headless body wrapped in carpet was found near the intersection of South 32nd Street and Gable Road in Billings on Wednesday night. KTVQ.com reports two people walking in the area discovered the body, which was partially covered, just after 5 p.m. in an area that appears to be a transient camp. The witnesses told Q2 News it was a man, and police have not confirmed if the head has been found.

Witness Ty Nelson said he and his friend, Dustin Lapp, were walking through the area looking for items that may have been stolen from his truck when they saw the body. Billings Police established a perimeter and closed down the dirt road off of South 32nd Street as a “crime scene” just after 5 p.m. Wednesday, and the investigation continues this morning.
