The USDA Forest Service, Cat Country 102.9, and 97.1 KISS FM invite you to be part of Great Outdoors Live. This virtual field trip will be webcast live to classrooms across America, beginning at 11am MDT TODAY (Wednesday, October 2) from Shoshone National Forest near Yellowstone National Park.

Teachers, students, and the general public can interact with scientists and other guests, live from the historic Wapiti Ranger Station that's located about 30 miles west of Cody in Shoshone National Forest.

Great Outdoors Live will help people learn about:

  • ecosystems - large and small

  • what public lands are and their importance

  • the history of public lands

  • natural resource careers

  • connections to indigenous peoples

  • balancing wildlife and human needs
