Well, now that everyone is hung over from Mardi Gras, which is French for 'Fat Tuesday,' it is Ash Wednesday or what everyone knows as 'Lent.' What does Mardi Gras have to do with Lent? Traditionally Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday is the day when people eat whatever they want because the next day (Ash Wednesday) is the day you give up those things.

Seems legit. Binge eat and then stop cold turkey....

Whether you are a religious person or not, the whole world is officially in 'I'm giving up _____' mode. You fill in the blank with chocolate, soda, fast food or any other thing you want to give up for the next 40 days. From what I understand it is a time to give up or modify things in your life that might be unhealthy.

Take a second to think about what that might be for you. And you don't necessarily need to limit yourself to food. It could be places, things like TV or even people! I think for myself it would have to be Starbucks anything. I don't drink coffee but I definitely spend a lot of my money there are on everything else. I could definitely work on that!

Also, if you see people walking around with ash on their foreheads, don't stare of tell them their face is dirty. Made that mistake once!
