Will You Be Watching The VMA Awards?

Sunday night is the VMA Awards on MTV and I am not going to lie it has been a handful of years since the last time I watched them. I remember being in middle school and high school and it was a really big deal to my friends and I. We would plan our VMA night for weeks. Where we were going to watch it. What kind of snacks we would need. Who did we think would win. Who we were excited to see perform. It was a really big deal. Then after graduation our VMA parties stopped all together pretty much. Unless there was going to be an awesome host or Britney was making her epic/failed come back. Britney did have some of the best VMA moments ever. The snake around her neck and when her and Madonna and Christina shocked the world by kissing on the mouth! Gosh the VMA Awards have been crazy in the past and this year I have a feeling will be no different.

I will not be missing a minute of it. I am excited for Katy Perry to be hosting because lets face it she is awesome. With all of drama with her and Taylor Swift this should be one heck of a show. We talked about this on the morning show today that Taylor was very crafty with releasing her new single right before the awards. I think she is totally trying to steal some of Katy's thunder. On top of that her world premiere of "Look What You Made Me Do" will happen during the show. This is a train wreck waiting to happen. I am a little nervous as to what Katy will say or do or poke at Taylor for considering she has the stage all night long. I bet MTV had a pretty serious talk about not being mean to each other and to play nice so they don't have another Kanye Taylor uncomfortable moment on stage. We will see what happens I guess. I am sure there will be lots of shade tossed around on that stage. Grab the popcorn and sit back and watch it unfold!
