I was born in the southern U.S. and raised by a 21 year Marine Corps Vietnam Vet and his hard working, successful, Tennessee born bride. They set the bar pretty high for their three kids...so I decided to just walk under it and go into radio at age 16. After years of "town to town, up and down the dial", I made my way to Billings in 2005. That turned out to be the best decision I ever made. It lead to a great job, and the love of my life, my daughter, Eliana. I'm happy to be raising her in a place with a great mix of conservative family values and progressive ideas about inclusion and embracing the differences in people (provided they are not too liberal or from California).
Movies Under The Stars Kicks Off This Friday
If you've never checked one of these out, you should. They're great summertime memories for the kids and admission is always free. You're not allowed to bring your own food and beverages, but the concession sales are always supporting a great local cause. You could buy a round of p…
How Much War Has the U.S. Seen?
I am grateful for the men and women who serve whether I agree with the war, the people who started it, or the politicians currently holding office.
McDonald’s Happy Meals Getting Less Happy
Before the flaming starts I should acknowledge that I'm aware there is an obesity problem in the U.S. and that our children are greatly affected by this. That is truth, and I get it. BUT, this kind of stuff doesn't seem like the solution.

Community Garden Plots Still Available

Montana’s New “Switchblade” Laws
Montana weapon laws are pretty lax compared to most states, but for some reason it stands its ground when it comes to switchblades, or automatic knives. However, there was a pretty big change last month (if you consider 1.5 inches big):
What Do You Call This?
From my 14 years here, I'm pretty sure this is Pop country, but I do hear the occasional Soda. What is your official word for this beverage that you likely shouldn't be drinking so much of in the first place?
What Single Dads Need To Remember About Mother’s Day
I'm pretty far from a perfect dad, so I don't often dish out advice on how to be one, but there is one thing that I learned from my dad that I think will pay out in the long run. Always remember that the person you see as your ex, your child just sees as Mom.
How to Get a Free Babysitter for Mother’s Day
Kraft is doing something pretty cool for Mother's Day, offering to reimburse babysitter fees up to $100. What's the catch? Only that there is a $50,000 limit to this promotion and it's a nationwide deal..in other words, you'll have to be quick to be one of the lucky ones, but i…
My New Personal Record For Losing Expensive Sunglasses
Pictured above is not the expensive pair of sunglasses I'm writing about. I didn't own those long enough to get a picture of them. Above are the cheap ones I've had for about 5 years now. My new Oakley sunglasses made it a grand total of 6 days. That's right; not even a full w…
